2 Peas Challenge
Well, living in the northeast, it gets pretty cold January through March. Pre WW, I would have loved to make a really gooey grilled cheese (with Velveeta, of course), with a hot bowl of tomato soup. Or, a nice batch of homemade macaroni and cheese. Or, a big batch of chili. Or, french fries smothered with mozzarella cheese. Or, my "favorite" spaghetti.
Wow! this is going to be one hard winter without my comfort foods. I am off to the WW to discover new foods, that I can "make" into my comfort foods.

2 Peas Challenge
I am so looking forward to getting MARRIED!!!! I cannot wait!! I cannot wait for D to become my husband. (I love how that sounds) Once we finalize the house plans, I will finally have a scrap room. A place to call my own. (yes, D....I know you want to share it for "your" hobby too...don't worry, we'll make it work) It will be a bit strange for awhile, as I have to say goodbye to the home that I grew up in. It's weird...somedays I cannot wait to be gone, and other days, I am grateful to come home. I don't know any other home, so I am sure there will be an adjustment period. (anyone else felt like that prior to moving out?) Looking forward to eventually starting a family with D. I feel like I have waited longer than most of my friends (as I will be 37 in 62 days!) :), and I hope that we can have a family on our own. I know that it is not a race, nor a competetion, but I would love to have my own children someday. I look at some of my friends who married young. Some divorced soon after getting married, some divorced after having children. I look at myself, and although I have no regrets, I wish that I had met D sooner in my life. But, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.
Decisions
I have so many to make that I really do not know where to begin. It is consuming me to the point that I feel at times I cannot breathe. In a way, I'm scared, but I know with D beside me, we'll get through it. I need to see the light at the end of the tunnel....then, I will finally be able to breathe.
I wish I could turn everything off and concentrate on what needs to get accomplished. Then, without the distractions that surround me, it might get done. It needs to get done...I have no choice.

2 Peas Challenge
At the end of last year, I decided that I wanted to scrap....and scrap more than I did in the past year. However, not having an area to scrap in makes it hard. I packed up almost all of my stuff and brought it to D's. I kept a few key essentials here, plus, I still get a few kits per month. My fav kit at the moment is: www.myfavoritememories.net
Shari put wonderful kits together, and I look forward to receiving them each month. I know that when D and I are in our house, I will have a designated scrap room, so I will have all of my supplies at my finger tips. Somedays, I wish I had it now. When I get home for work, that would be a perfect way to wind down after a long day. I was an SU demo for 2 years, and accumulated ALOT of supplies. Those too, are packed up. But, I miss making cards for friends and family. I miss being creative. I so want it back. I want to make some altered items this year, as well as a small album for D for Valentine's Day.

My Sweet Cookie Boy

Challenge~ If you have/had any pets in your life. How did you decide on their names? (what a fitting challenge for my sweet boys anniversary)
One year ago today, our sweet Cookie Boy passed away. We had Cookie Boy for 12 years. In parakeet years, that was many more than most expected. He was the first pet we ever had, and I cannot see myself getting another. I still, to this day, come home expecting to hear him chirp, and call me over to give me a kiss. Yes!...he spoke sentences (full sentences), gave kisses, and always wanted to be a part of our daily conversations. You could not walk into my house, and NOT talk to Cookie...he would almost be offended. When we brought him home, my sister named him Crayola. I know that you cannot see it in this photo, but he had turquoise, yellow, bright green, and gray feathers. His wings were two tone, that were split down the middle! We have so many of his feathers put away. He did not have any black on him whatsoever. He was perfect. Anyway, I had been in a bad car accident, and was home for a few months recuperating. I spent so many hours with Cookie during that time. One day, I started calling Crayola, Cookie Boy. and it stuck. I cannot tell you why I started calling him Cookie Boy, but it felt just right. Crayola, at first was a very fitting name, but he really was a Cookie Boy. After about 3 weeks or so, he began to repeat his name. Never having a pet, it was very difficult when he passed away. My sister and I were home, and I "just knew". He will always be a part of us....I cannot believe it has been one year since he left us. We miss you....We love you...
